James Carville, who predicted to win Harris, says Trump admin crashed ‘even faster’ than he could ‘imagine’

Democratic strategyist James Carville thinks the Trump administration has collapsed in less than three months.

During a recent appearance in CNN Michael Emerconishâ’s program, Carville stated that President Donald Trump’s second term had become a failure faster than he predicted he would.

“I didn’t know. I thought I had to wait longer for the nearby collapse. It happened even faster than I could imagine,” said former Bill Clinton’s adviser.

Emerconish brought the topic, citing Carville’s latest anticipation in the New York Times that the Trump administration would be divided.

In a February optim, Carville advised the Democratic Party to play dead and wait for collapse.

“Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is retreat to the near battlefield – and progress in another direction,” he said.

“It won’t last long. Public support for this administration will fall through the floor plank. Already happening.”

Emerconish asked Carville, wondering why it is important that Trump may lose some approval numbers if democratic approval estimates are in some of their lowest points in modern history.

The strategist objected by saying that the left can benefit from the moment the same way.

“Well, first of all, it is a glorious opportunity for the Democratic Party to redefine itself, to take this as what it is, and apparently some people in the news media are not – this is the worst crisis we have had in the United States in the last 80 years.”

Carville continued, saying the Trump administration represents the “end of the rule of law”.

“We will see nincompoops, blocks and buffoons that run the country,” he added.

Despite Carville’s insistence that Trump is collapsing, recent surveys have revealed that he is at least doing better at this point of his presidency than he was during his first term.

A Gallup poll of US adults for the first three months of 2025 has Trump in a 45 percent approval estimate compared to 42 percent he received in 2017.

A national Fox News survey conducted March 14-17 revealed that 49% of Americans approve the work Trump is doing.

Some observers may be skeptical of Carville’s predictions and statements in favor of Trump’s state among US voters taking into account what happened with his bold election 2024.

In a week written in the New York Times, written a few weeks before the election day, Carville stated, “America, everything will be okay. Mrs. Harris will be elected by the other President of the United States. For that, I’m sure.”
